Welcome to Graybird Foundation
from our founder
Bold moves are at the heart of Silicon Valley—it is a place of innovators, dreamers, and doers. But Silicon Valley is not just where technology begins; it’s also home to millions of people, many of whom are either working to better our society or simply struggling to survive.
At Graybird we feel fortunate to have been part of marketing the technology that has helped so many people, products and companies emerge as leaders. Our foundation is an opportunity to give back to the community we live in and love.
How? By working with a small team of experts, our foundation gives nonprofits that serve education, fine arts and our community access to marketing, branding and communications projects that their budgets simply don’t allow.
Whether you are a marketing professional, an aspiring non-profit organization, or a donor looking to make a difference, we need you. Let’s help our entire community soar.
We hope you will join us on this mission.
Jill Grossman
What We Do

STRATEGY
Graybird Foundation begins by assessing a nonprofit’s marketing challenge, then develops a strategy and roadmap to set the scope and goals for the project.

BRANDING
Whether fine-tuning an organization’s brand or creating an entirely new identity, Graybird facilitates the branding process.

COMMUNICATIONS
Graybird develops messaging specific to a nonprofit’s audience segments and delivers PR and social media strategies to achieve objectives.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Graybird team brings years of experience and insight to supervise all components of a client’s marketing initiative with vendors and partners for a complete solution.
Who We Serve

Community
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Graybird is motivated to serve local nonprofits that benefit our communities.
more
LifeMoves, the largest homeless services provider across San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, approached Graybird to orchestrate and execute its complete rebranding in a project that spanned from December 2014 to February 2016.
“We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.”

Education
At Graybird, we care deeply about higher education and eagerly support nonprofits that improve college access and graduation rates among underserved students.
more
We look for community-based nonprofits that help families understand the value of four-year college degrees, and that provide support for students to discover their strengths, excel academically and contribute to their communities. We are working with Foundation for College Education to expand their programs for underserved middle- and high-school students.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
– Nelson Mandela, South African anti-apartheid revolutionary

Fine Arts
Graybird Foundation selects developing artists and creative nonprofits in the Bay Area to promote their bodies of work.
more
Graybird teamed with the filmmakers of the Surviving Skokie documentary to fund its completion and run its marketing. During the 2015 – 2016 season, Surviving Skokie was accepted as an official selection to screen at a dozen film festivals in the U.S., Europe and Australia. It was an honor to help position Surviving Skokie to win awards at the 2015 Mill Valley and the 2016 Los Angeles Jewish Film Festivals.
